#2 Skincare - #2014bloggerchallenge

I've wanted to do this post for such a long time so I was extremely happy that this came up as one of the topics! Anyway, I won't bore you with the usual long into, so keep reading to find out my skincare routine.

((I'm really sorry but I cannot remember the price of any of these products because I've had them for so long, again I'm very sorry.))

Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion.
I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best moisturisers on the planet!
I can't thank my mums friend enough for recommending this product to me because it has done me the world of wonders. I don't even know where to start if I'm honest.
I've had problems with dryness and eczema which I won't go into as that would need a whole new blog post. After trying out many products my mums friend suggested this product and it's genuinely changed my life. Even just at the third day of using it I noticed my dry spots and eczema were clearing up and after a week it had almost gone. It was amazing and I wanted to scream from the roof tops. I highly recommend this product if you as well suffer from dry spots and eczema, I cannot praise this product more! Although I do not know the price I do know that this brand is sold in boots and there are many different varieties of mouisturiser types.

Simple Kind to Eyes Soothing Eye Balm.
I'm going to be honest with you here and say that this eye balm I personally feel doesn't reduce puffiness but it is a great moisturiser. As I previously said I've had a few skin problems and as well as suffering with dryness around my eyes I've had puffiness/swelling (which the doctor think is allergies). After seeing this product on a shelf and seeing what it does I thought I'd give it a go; if you don't try you never know if it works. I tried this for a month or so and noticed no difference with puffiness but there was an improvement with dryness. This product although not meant for moisturising is a great moisturiser! Again, I would highly recommend this product if you suffer with dryness but maybe not with puffiness. But if you want to give it a try and see if it works for you then you should go for it. Different things always work on different people.

MAC Strobe Cream.
As you can probably see from the photos this is not the full size product it is a sample, but fear not, they do do a full sized product at MAC's ridiculous prices. Anyway, I haven't used this product a lot as I only just got it with everything else I got at Christmas but obviously since I got it I thought I may as well use it even though I don't really need it. As I haven't been using it for long I don't feel I can comment on the effects of it/how good it is but it feels nice and isn't a heavy cream, so far so good.

Vaseline Lip Therapy.
Obviously this product is a must in any girls handbag. I use this product for two different things, firstly I use it for the lips as that is it's main purpose and It's brilliant, it is - along with my Burt's Bee's Lip Balm - an essential for winter, if you get chapped lips (LIKE EVERY OTHER HUMAN BEING OUT THERE) then you need this, just use your fingers to apply a sheet over your lips and your chapped lips will be gone in a matter of minutes. Now, onto the other thing I use this product for. As you may know Vaseline moisturiser comes in quite a big tube and seeing as I have an amazing moisturiser already it seems unnecessary to buy another one, because of this reason I use this on my dry patches. It only takes a small amount as the product is quite greasy so it works a treat!

Burt's Bee's Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus.
As we all know from my blog post on this, I love this product! I don't really need to write a lot about this product as I've already done a whole blog post on it right here so if you read that you'll get the low down. But just a quick overview for you people who are lazy like me, this is a very moisturising lip balm which cures chapped lips for the whole day, it only needs one application in the morning and will last you practically the whole day. Not only is it a fabulous moisturiser lip balm but it is tinted which means it gives you a pop of colour which is neither too sheer nor too pigmented. All in all this is one of the best lip balms out there and I can't wait to try more of the Burt's Bee's products.

Favourite Find

I thought I'd do a quick little Favorite Find post as I don't want all my posts to be #2014bloggerchallenge posts and I really enjoy doing these as I get to look through shops and find some little gems. I also like to do these because sometimes shops that aren't well known will pop up one day and I have to share it with you guys because they're so wonderful.
This is a bit random and out of the blue so don't expect some amazing show but do expect an amazing guest!
Anyway, I'm waffling again.

So actually like another of my Favourite Find posts these guys kind of found me. Like the other guys they followed me on instagram and obviously I checked them out and once again loved their stuff (will it ever stop, I love it guys but no money!!).

I loved their pieces because they were so unique and I hadn't discovered similar things, although since seeing their stuff I have seen a few different pieces similar; but not identical, around, but it's clearly the latest craze and I'm liking it. Not only that but they are so cheap for what you're getting, I know I always say that but I mean it this time.
Unfortunately I can't pronounce the name of this shop whatsoever but that's fine, this isn't youtube and luckily I can type it.
DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN! The name of this fabulous shop is: Moncou.

(click this link and head over after you've read this post)

Image of Gin Gang ChokerAll these wonderful pieces are over on their website and all for an amazing price of £3.00, yes I did just say £3.00.
There are a few more different chokers but I had to show you my favourite three and I'm sure you'll agree they're amazing!
There is also an option for what colour choker you would like; either chrome or noir, both of which look amazing.
I hope every single one of my followers heads over too their websites and buys something from there... That is an order actually! Go Now!!!!

#1 New Years Inspiration - #2014bloggerchallenge

Here it is! The first post of the 2014 Blogger Challenge and of many to come. If you have no clue what I'm on about check out my post on the challenge by clicking here and that will fill you in with all you need to know.

For this first post we have been asked to attach a picture or quote and rather than doing New Years Resolutions talk about how the picture is going to inspire you for that year.

I'm going to be honest and say I really don't like these sort of New Years posts, actually I hate them. Now I won't delve into why but if you're like me I guess you will understand and completely not read this post. But - and there is a lot of emphasis on but - this is for a challenge and if this is what I've got to do, I've got to do it. Plus just because I don't like this sort of thing won't mean you guys despise it too!

I reckon a lot of you will know where the quote "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" comes from.
The amazing Dr Seuss! And how true that is.

For the past year I haven't really known who or I or who I want to be. I also think that nowadays it's difficult for people to be who they want to be unless they have a tonne of confidence; which unfortunately I don't have. But some how I managed to break past a weird barrier that has been holding me back from being who I've wanted to be for a long time and now, I couldn't be happier than ever.

Honestly, the world is a very judgmental place and you will be judged by one person or more each day and nothing can change that. This is what worries people, this is what makes them hide behind a wall of a false personality, in a way a false life. Stuff like this you've just got to grab from your head, chuck it out and carry on being you!
Society tells us that being different is wrong and that everyone should be a perfect human being.
Why should society manipulate you like this?
No, really... why?
Who wants to be perfect? Perfect is boring.
Who wants to be the same as everyone else? It's boring.
Like people say "If everyone was the same the world would be a very boring place."
Because you know what, being blonde, with a skinny waist, big boobs, a big bum and being mildly intelligent isn't appealing.

BEING WEIRD IS A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN BEING BORING!

Here are a few other quotes that if you're worried about individuality (aka being weird; and I mean the good weird) you should go by.

Here's a picture of me being weird.

Now.... Go, be weird my lovelies!!!!!

DIY: Cute Christmas Cards!

Firstly I would like to say thank you everyone that follows me on bloglovin', I reached 100 followers earlier today and that made me so happy, I never thought that, that many people would ever be interested in my blog! I think this calls for a giveaway so I will come up with something and go and buy some lovely things for you guys to win, this will probably take place after Christmas now; hopefully when I have more money! So yes, thank you all so much and I'll keep you informed with the giveaway!

Now onto today's blog post; which can I tell you I loved to do.
I've always wanted to make my own Christmas cards so they have that personal touch to them but I've always thought that it would take so long and it'd look extremely bad, but fear not! I have found the perfect solution to this problem. I came to a sudden realisation that the method I'm going for it just too difficult and I'm trying to make it too perfect, so I sat down and figured it all out and thought why not share it with you guys, I mean some of you may be stuck with the same dilemma.

I have put together a simple, 5 step tutorial for the perfect Christmas card drawing, if you want to know what that is then read on....
You will need:
A5 or A4 card to draw onto
Any kind of pencil
A fine tip pen
A rubber

Step One:
You can either go straight in with the fine tip pen or if you're a bit nervous take your pencil and sketch a tear drop shape that flicks out at the bottom, don't worry if your lines are wiggly, this just adds to the homemade feel of the card.
Step Two:
For this next step all you have to do is dot two little eyes at an angled line then fit a tiny triangle for a nose in the middle below the two.
Step Three:
Now, this is probably the easiest step of all and there is no other way to explain it other than, draw a semi circle in the flicky tear drop to create a cute tummy pattern on the bird.
Step Four:
All you need to do in this step is draw two thin sticks coming from the body of the bird, they don't have to be completely straight, one can be at an angle and the other can be normal. On the end of these sticks draw three small lines coming from the center point for the little toes of the birds.
Step Five (optional):
If you want you can leave your little birdie at Step Four but for those of you who want to add a little bit of pattern to the drawings I added in this step. All I did to create the pattern in the belly was to take different parts of aztech patterns and mash them up together, now you can do this pattern or you can come up with one that's completely your own, the great thing with doing this means no one will have the same design!

Once you know how to do this robin drawing you can make a fabulous, original card.
I came up with this design and I can't get over how cute it is and if you imagine it in colour is makes me want to coo over it!

The great thing about these designs is that they're not perfect and they don't have to be so it gives you more freedom when drawing.
I definitely think friends and family will adore something like this and you can even personalise them with the person name which makes it even more great.
If anyone has made a card either tag me in a post on twitter: @lion_princess_ or tag me in a photo on instagram: @ana_sadler or even better lets start a hashtag (this won't happen but lets give it a go) called #AnasChristmasCards I would love to see how yours turned out if you have tried it!
I hope you all enjoy Christmas on Wednesday (in England) or whichever day it is anywhere else and I'll next see you either just before the New Year or in the New Year!

Dream Job (remake)

If you're one of the people who has been reading my blog from the start you may remember this very poor post (dream job) I have just looked through my blogs and firstly seen how horrible it is but also how my opinions and thoughts have changed.
Alongside still wanting to become some amazing person at Vogue who writes flawless articles there is a new career I want to pursue. Now these jobs probably couldn't be anymore different and at complete opposite ends of the spectrum; well they are in my opinion.
So, what is the other dream job of mine I hear you ask? Well that job is......... A FRIDGE MAKER!
.....No, no, all kidding aside my other dream job would be a tattooist/tattoo artist.
This idea of becoming a tattooist came after someone said "You should be a tattooist!" and I sat there like "No, no." but after thinking about it, it became an idea that just stuck in my head, I then had a wave of ideas go through my head of what I'd be like when I'm older and all the amazing work I'd do and then transfer onto actual living human beings.
I've tossed and turned over it and can't decide which I feel is better but if I ever; and I emphasize on the ever there, get a job as either one of these people I will be the happiest girl ever!
Both of these jobs interest me so, so much. I would love to be a journalist... as you can probably tell from me setting up this blog, and it'd just be amazing to inform people or interview people and have my pieces read by 100's, 1000's and in my wildest dreams 1000000's! Not only that but it seems like a fun, enjoyable job (probably totally wrong there) because of the social aspect, you would get to meet tonnes of thousands of people and be able to share interest, or bounce off each others ideas.
Then onto tattooing, again there will be the social aspect, you would see a lot of people walk in and out of the studio everyday, each with (hopefully) a smile on their face from the job you've done, but also being able to put your own artwork on to a living person and them walk around with it on, showing it off for everyone to see, you could get so well known from that. People wanting you artwork on them is another aspect, it's great to know someone wants it and love it so much that they will pay to have it permanently engraved on their body.

So anyway, I think I'm getting too in depth and serious here.

Now I did say in my Christmas Wishlist post that it was probably the last time I was going to blog before Christmas but that's a lie and here I am. I also think I will be doing another post on Sunday if I can find something fun and interesting for you guys, maybe a haul of Christmas presents friends have given me so far? Or a Christmas outfit or makeup post(not that I'm that good at those sorts of things)? Let me know if there's anything you guys can think of or want me to do in the comments. If not then this is for sure the last post before Christmas. So.... Have a Wonderful Christmas.
I would also love to know what your Dream Jobs are so please comment below and tell me!

OH! And finally, as you may or may not know I have nearly hit 100 followers on Bloglovin' and I have gained a tonne of Google+ followers (thank you!) so I was thinking when I do I may host a small giveaway where you can win a few nail varnishes or some makeup something along the lines of that.

Christmas Wishlist

As it's edging closer and closer to Christmas I thought I'd have to do a few little Christmas posts on my blog otherwise it would feel wrong.
This is the second Christmas post and I know they're all pretty shocking but I'm giving you all I've got! I've seen a few of these post so I thought why not, I'll give it a go.
This is my Christmas Wishlist!

First up is something I've been eyeing up for a while now. It's from the Drop Dead website. For those of you who don't know much about Drop Dead Clothing or you have never heard of it before; it's an alternative clothing line, they have new and original pieces that you can't find anywhere else. This little beauty is the Death Bed Mesh Top. Unlike the model I would probably wear something more than just a black bra underneath. I don't know why this top appeals to me so much but I really love it, the design on the back is just so simple but pulls the whole thing together. This top is £43.50.

Next up are the cutest socks I've ever seen! They're from Topshop and they're £3.50. I don't have much to say about wanting them apart from the fact they're so cute. They also make me think of a vintage teddy bear because of the print on them. I love the burgundy they're put on because it makes them stand out and give it more of a vintage feel, Topshop also did these socks in a navy blue which I also adored but I saw these first and then didn't really look any further to see if they had any navy blue ones on the website.
Another product that I've been eyeing up is a MAC eyeshadow in the shade Cranberry. This is the perfect autumn/winter shade, it is a mix of pinks and berry colours which creates a perfect easy to wear shade. This eyeshadow will suit any coloured eye and will bring out the eye colour so strongly. Depending on what format of eyeshadow you buy will determine the price so I'd go and check out the MAC website and look at the best deal you could get.
Last but not least is the thing I most want on my Christmas List! After seeing various quotes and pictures from the book I instantly knew I needed this book. Even after just seeing the cover of this book I knew I needed it. I know every girl has this book and it's not a surprise that I want this but from what I've seen I'm already in love! I'd say this book (even though I haven't read it) is the epitome of perfect and so is Alexa Chung. On Amazon a hardback cover is £11.55 and I'd much rather prefer hardback to paperback as paperback books are so delicate and get ripped or scrumpled so easily in your bag. I'm actually going to go as far and say this is an essential for every girl and if this is not on your Christmas List, why not!?

That's it for my Christmas Wishlist, there's not a lot there but I could come up with a whole rooms worth of gifts so you'll be glad I kept this small.
I hope you're enjoying these Christmas posts more than I enjoy the build up to Christmas!
This may or may not be my last post before Christmas unless I write anything in the next week or even a special one on Christmas Eve!! I would love to know what you guys are loving so comment or even do a whole blogpost like me and tag me so I can have a read through.
(If I don't see you or write for you have a wonderful Christmas everyone, I probably will so this is irrelevant.)

The Christmas Tag

Image from Google.
I got this tag from Amy. So if you'd like to see her post click here.

What is your favourite Christmas film?

Of course my favourite Christmas film has to be Elf! This film never fails to make me laugh and it's actually the only Christmas film I will watch!

What is your favourite festive colour?

My favourite festive colour has to be an emerald green. This is for many reasons which are too boring to explain but also because it goes perfectly with my ginger hair!

Do you open your gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?

Always Christmas Morning! However tempting it is to open them the night before I just think it's wrong!

What is your favourite winter fragrance?

I don't actually have a winter fragrance but I love to wear my body shop body mist in vanilla everyday because it's such a lovely scent.

What is your favourite Christmas scent?

I love the smell of cinnamon and all spice, every time I smell it I always think of Christmas and it just brings me images in my head of sitting by the fire opening presents.

What is your favourite holiday drink?

My favourite holiday drink is a classic hot chocolate with cream and marshmallow, I think it's just so perfect. Although I always have to have a tea as well.

Candy Canes or Gingerbread Men?

This is such a hard decision and I honestly can't choose between the two!

What is your favourite Christmas song?

I don't really like Christmas songs (you're all going to hate me now) but if I had to choose one out of everything I would choose Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You. I don't even like that one that much.

Have you ever made a snowman?

Yes! Numerous times I have made a snowman on the off chance it has snowed although I can't say they were the best looking snowman. If it snows this year I'll definitely give it a go again and tell you all how it goes.

What is the most important thing to you about Christmas?

I can't really say I know what the most important thing about Christmas is for me. But I think it's just a nice event for everyone to get together one day and try and get on; not that that plans out.

I tag everyone who reads this post, let me know when you have done the tag in the comments section below as I would love to have a look through all of your answers.

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

This lip balm is probably the best on the planet... NO! In the universe.

MY FAVOURITE LIP BALM EVER! I swear I'm not even exaggerating, this stuff is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
As you all know winter is the call for chapped lips to appear and everyone will agree they're not the easiest thing to make just disappear.
I was in the market for a new lip balm that I actually liked! I had been using Maybelline's Baby Lips which are perfectly moisturising and just as amazing as everyone has been saying but they had that horrible, artificial, unnatural lip balm taste which made me feel sick so I needed a new lover for my lips. I had heard a few people talk about Burt's Bees products and they had nothing bad to say so I knew I had to try it for myself.
I was out Christmas shopping a week ago and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to sneak one for myself. So I did and it was the best decision I have ever made.

I picked up a tinted lip balm from their collection in the colour Hibiscus as I had remembered seeing Zoella feature it in one of her videos.

For a tinted lip balm it has an amazingly pigmented colour, but it can be sheer if you apply it quite lightly. It's a pinky, plum colour which is perfect for the winter.
The lip balm is 100% natural so it doesn't have that horrible taste to it or a horrible smell. It keeps your lips moisturised all day long and although it feels like all the product may have come off it's still working and you don't really need to top it up.
It's £5.99 for a tinted lip balm which I find perfectly reasonable considering how good it is but if you're looking for something cheaper then their normal lip balms (which there are a variety of flavours) are only £3.69.

This is definitely a product i'm going to repurchase again and again. I also want to try more of their products considering this is amazing i'm sure everything else will be too.
If you're looking for a new lip balm I would advise you to go and buy this product because I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!
