Happy New Year!!!

I always expect New Years to be great, I expect a massive party with loud music, fireworks and everyone around. I'd stay up till the early hours of the morning and then go to bed at some ridiculous time then finding myself waking up 3 hours later. Does this really happen though? No, I wish!
In reality New Years is pretty dull, it's built up with all these people saying they'll have parties but then suddenly they're cancelled and you're left thinking of a way to spend it. Eventually you give up, you have nothing to do so you prepare yourself for spending New Years in bed watching the fireworks on the telly at midnight.
But again it never turns out like this.
It get's to New Years Eve and you tell yourself you'll stay up most of the night and you'll watch all of the fireworks and finally you will ring someone just to have a little celebration with someone else.
Well again, this doesn't happen.
On New Years Eve you switch on the tv at 11:30 just so you're sure you don't miss the fireworks, you stay up watching a show and you're getting more and more tired. Then at about 11:59 you finally give up and go to sleep.
New Years almost never turns out how you've planned it.
Neither does the whole year, everyone almost always says "This year is going to be 1000000x better than the last" but this is never true.
It's like a domino effect the same thing happens every New Year, we seem to notice it but never do anything about it.

A Flash Of Light

Last night I was laying in bed blogging, I wasn't paying attention to anything around me suddenly I saw a big flash of light, I just thought it was my light playing up so I took no notice of it. Then I heard rumbling, the sound was getting louder and louder it stopped then seconds after the biggest bang erupted, I sat up catching my breathe again, it had felt like my heart stopped it was that surprising I stopped blogging and left them room and ran to "safety", it seems stupid now but at the time I wouldn't have done anything else. After a few minutes of collecting myself I return to my room the find my cat had scurried under the bed being just as scared as I was. I sat down to start blogging again more conscience of what was happening around me, I could hear the heavy rain smashing down on the conservatory and the howling of the wind.......THEN BAM!!! another boom and crash of thunder, I figured I'd get no sleep tonight, so I finished up what I was writing and closed my laptop.
I was laying in bed and I got a text from my friend, she told me that she'd got a power cut - I was lucky enough not too - and that she was extremely scared, I read on and finding out what she was scared about made me chuckle a little, then worry, she was scared of The Grudge - if you don't know what The Grudge is I'll briefly explain, it's a film based in Japan, it's a horror (at this point I won't go into depth), it all starts off with a man killing his cat, wife and child, he then kills himself, a few people enter the building where it happened wanting to buy the house, although not knowing what has happened, the house is cursed by The Grudge, The Grudge is made up of the women and child, so after entering the house you are cursed and The Grudge then comes out to find you and kill you, no one can explain it. So anyway I finished reading the text a little more frightened than before.
I ended up laughing about the whole thing, telling myself I was stupid, I found it quite funny really.

The Perfect Image

What really is "The Perfect Image", is there really a perfect image.
We all want to look different and however much you say you don't there's a little part of you that you want to change. We all aren't perfect, that's why we look for the perfect image and our image of perfect is different to someone else's. As I write this I think of a number of things I want to change about myself and then I think of a number of people I would really love to look like, there's always a celebrity that you know inside think you wish you looked like them.
Sometimes I think that thoughts like this just make me feel worse about myself and that it makes me notice what I don't like about myself more, and then it makes me think what can I change - do I really want to be thinking about plastic surgery.
I'm lucky to only think about changing minor few bits of my body, but what about people that want to change everything, how do they cope, I myself would never be able to live like that not liking one bit of my body, so in a sense I'm lucky.
Honestly I don't think there is a perfect image, in our heads there may be, can we really define perfect? Maybe even the people you find perfect have insecurities and maybe that's why most celebrities choose plastic surgery because they feel pressure to be perfect.
I think perfect is a term that can't really define anyone or anything, we throw the word around without it having a true meaning and that's probably what makes everybody so image obsessed.
There is no such thing as a perfect image so whatever insecurities you have, don't let them get to you, just think, you may be perfect to someone else and you're perfect in your own way.

TV Advertisements

Let's be honest who enjoys TV adverts, I certainly don't. They're just so inconvenient, you're halfway through watching a movie and then boom, straight to an advert ruining the suspense and build up of the movie.
I have 2 opinions on TV adverts, at first I see them as a pointless waste of time, helping add to the electricity bill and making you want to spend money on things you don't need, eventually giving in to the temptation of the product, but then I look deeper into what the point in adverts are and I realise that without adverts what would we have, we might not have our beloved toaster or kettle, we might miss our favourite programmes on  TV.
We all say that adverts are pointless but really they're not, they do have a meaning to them, basically what I'm trying to say is we wouldn't be where we are without adverts, you may disagree but that's how I see it.

Sundays

Sundays are probably everyone's favourite day, just the thought of having a relaxing day makes everyone light up.
I myself love Sundays, a nice relaxing bubble bath lit by scented vanilla candles and just being able to relax. Most people appreciate their Sunday nights, they stay at home watching Sunday night television although being the worst night for television programmes you always seem to enjoy it, or you enjoy a good film.
This Sunday I decided instead of being boring and watching the same programmes I always did I watched a film. I watch a film called CyberBully at first I though I really wouldn't enjoy it because it didn't sound interesting to me, how wrong was I!!!
This film is probably one of the best films I have ever watched. Although being enjoyable that's not what made it so amazing, it was the factual part of it, the harsh truth about it, that's what I loved.
During the film we meet a girl, her mum is very strict doesn't let her on the internet without knowing what she's doing or who she's talking to etc. but we are introduced to the girl on her 17th birthday, her mum buys her a laptop, gives her some freedom. The girl and some mates set up a profile a bit like facebook but according to them better, her crush from school adds her and so does this stranger she's never met that goes to school with her friends cousin, she doesn't think anything of it so she adds him. Throughout the whole film the girl and her friends are harassed/bullied by a girl at school. Well the next day she sees someone posted something weird on her profile, she gets upset about it and tells her mum because she's obviously never come across things like this before. Her mum tells her to change her password etc then advises her to take her profile down, the next day her mum discovers she hasn't and takes her laptop then she finds out her brother posted the status, soon enough things escalate and now this James boy she didn't know is saying things about her which aren't true, her mum this time tells her to delete her profile but again she doesn't. Things get worse and worse and soon enough this girl is ready to commit suicide, she post a video online, her friend comes home to see it and luckily arrives in time to stop her. This girl so gets help and starts to get better and better although still being bullied throughout the duration, she finally discovers this James guy she didn't know was her bestfriend taking revenge. She eventually gets back to school and forgives her friend realising she is going through the same as what has happened to her, she confronts the girl who has been bullying her and stands up telling her she's putting people through what she's been through.
This film defiantly pulled on my heart strings and I felt tears in my eyes, after I'd watched this film I had no idea why it wasn't a box office smash.
I would really recommend everyone to watch it, it really made me think more and more about tings and it made me stronger in a sense.

Computer Games, Teenagers and Their Minds!

Computer games, they are advertised everywhere, the tv, the internet, on buses, at shopping centres, everywhere! It seems that the creators of these games make the graphics and the plots so mind grabbing to the target audience that they feel they have to buy the games. It's like this people are hypnotising you into buying their games, they have control of your mind and make you go and spend £20+ on something that really isn't that great. Everyday we seem to see another few minds snatch by these games, but honestly are they really worth your time and money. Looking people play their games it seems they are not only hypnotised by the advertising but they are also hypnotised by the game itself, killing zombies and other people seem to be just as hypnotising as the other aspects of the game. These games are just taking over the minds of innocent people, it seems everywhere you look another teenage brain has been taking over by these violent games and yet nothing seems to be being done about it, soon people won't be going out and we'll have empty streets empty shops and soon all we'll count on is the internet which itself is not at all reliable.

Planning my hairstyle for tomorrow.

Every night I have this problem, what am I going to do with my hair tomorrow, how long will it take to do, everyone has these problems. So while I sit here with my cup of tea and mull over how I should do my hair I look through my "Christmas Hairstyles...." post and think, not only can all of these looks be worn at Christmas they can be worn day to day, you can make them as casual as you like or as sophisticated as you like.
So I've had a plan, instead of pondering for minutes and hours over how you're going to do your hair and make up, make a list for everyday of the week, yes you may have a signature look but step out the box, have a change, a good change! Seeing as I'm so lovely and kind, I am going to post my daily looks on here:

Monday:
Hair: Slicked back ballet bun, pulling all hair forward and the only lump on my head shall be the bun.
Make-Up: Firstly my face, go over lightly with some foundation and add a little bit of blusher but only to create a light tint. Then my eyes, I'm going to go for a winged eye liner flick look, making my look a bit like Kim Kardashians eyes, I will then add some mascara to extend my eyelashes and make them long and full, doing both top and bottom lashes, with only a little eye liner on the bottom lashes. Finally, I will have a nude colour on my lips as I want to draw all the attention to my hair and eyes.

Tuesday:
Hair: I will have a middle parting with some barely there waves as I want to be toned down from the day before.
Make-Up: I won't put any foundation on and I will just have a clear face and use the natural red-ish colour in my cheeks as "blusher", my eyes will be simple with just a line of eye liner all the way round my eyes on the water line and them make my lashes extra long by applying my mascara slowly and in long streaks pulling the eyelashes out, I will finish the look with a touch of pink to my lips but nothing heavy as I'm going for the toned down look.

Wednesday:
Wednesday, I'm just going to be random, I have gymnastics this day and I don't want to bother with too much so I'm just going to go with the flow.

Thursday:
Hair: I will have a simple middle parting with straight locks
Make-Up: My face will have a cover of foundation then powder just to have a more tanned look on it, then my eyes will be a smoky effect (black/grey) and quite a coat of mascara, but not so it looks tacky, I will then have a nude lip with a gloss shine on it.

Friday:
Hair: I will do a top knot slicked back look.
Make-Up: I will not have anything on my face or lips, just eye liner and mascara on my eyes.

Saturday/Sunday:
I will do nothing with my hair and leave my make up clear unless I'm going out, and my look will depend on what I'm doing.

So this is my routine, I hope you take my advice and find it easier, I would love your feedback and see if it helps, so comment with what happened when you tried it.

Christmas Hairstyles.....

Want the best hair style looks for Christmas, look no further, here I am going to tell you the best hairstyles to rock for Christmas!

High ballet buns seem to be all the rage this Christmas, slick back your hair and have this bun to top it off and you have the perfect simple Christmas look.

Get your perfect Christmas look by slicking your hair back into a low side parted style, a great loose look that looks stylish yet it's so simplistic.

Loose curls over your shoulder creates a great Christmas look, it brings a bit of warmth into the room, this look works best with blonde and brunette hair.

Marilyn Monroe style pin back shoulder length curls look great at Christmas, this 20's style look makes it your perfect Christmas.

Another bun look! A messy top not creates a casual yet stylish look you can rock at Christmas and still look stylish at the same time.

For the more mature ladies out there, pull your hair into a medium rise quiff, curl and pin at the back and you have the perfect stylish and glamorous look for Christmas with the family.

For the younger ladies out there, slick your hair back into a high big ballet bun towering over everyone, this look can be worn by anyone.

A high messy bun is defiantly the look for anyone rushing around at Christmas, quick and simple to do you won't have to spend too long looking your best.

Back comb your hair and smooth at the top, then out back into a messy bun down at the bottom of the back of your head and you have a perfect casual, elegant look for Christmas.

Tight curls make the perfect look for Christmas, classy and easy to deal with you'll have no problems with pins falling out or buns coming down.

A very simple look for Christmas is a centre parted straight locks look, looks great at Christmas and it shapes your face and shows off all your features by drawing attention to the eyes and lips.

A simple side braid with a middle parting easily makes your perfect party look, the best braid to go with is a fish tail.

Simple yet so effective, the slicked back ponytail and straight locks have a knock out effect.

Another simple ponytail look, is the messy ponytail, it look casual and fabulous.

Loose beach curls and a middle parting is the perfect look for anyone add a sparkly accessory and it completes the look and adds a Christmas touch.

Slick wet look locks give a grunge effect to your hair.

A middle parting with a twisted fringe make the perfect simple and easy Christmas look.

Middle parting with barely there waves create the perfect look for red heads, plaiting hair when damp and leaving over night has the best effect.

High rise quiffs are defiantly becoming the signature Christmas look, so why not try it, the look, looks best with people with the pixie hair and long fringe, a bit like Miley Cyrus' new look.

Add oodles of root lift to your loose up-do and leave a front section forward for a super-sexy finish.

Wear all these looks with a smoky eye and with red lips and you have the perfect Christmas look.

Buses.

Generally the idea of buses is a great idea, it's quite cheap (note I say quite) to get to where you want to and causes less pollution (not true, but I feel it does if lees people drove).
Anyway, generally they are great, no? Well not what I experienced today, which has started becoming a regular thing. So I get up to the bus stop early, I did this because the bus has been coming ten minutes early lately, which in itself is extremely annoying but I can put with that, I mean better than it being late right?
So anyway, it didn't come early which I was quite surprised by, so then i thought "ohh it's only going to be 10-15 minutes late, I can handle that" so I waited, 10 minutes went by, the bus hadn't turned up yet, I wasn't worried, I said to myself "I'll wait another 10-15 minutes", another 10 minutes had gone by, i have now been waiting up the bus stop for half an hour!!! Some people that were waiting decided to walk back, I waited another 5 minutes then called someone and asked for a lift, which was very inconvenient for this person because potentially i could have made them late for work. So after 5 minutes of the other people leaving I then decided I may as well leave, I mean it was highly unlikely the bus was going to turn up 40 minutes late. I finally started walking, it was raining my feet were soaking and I was so angry.
I get home at ten to four and I finally find out what happened to the bus, it had broken down, this was becoming a regular thing, every week something would happen, but usually in the case of the bus breaking down they would send another bus, well apparently they did, it came 20 minutes after I left, now really did they think i was going to wait another 20 minutes when I had just waited 40 minutes in the rain, freezing because i had to wear a skirt, feet soaking and toes about to fall off, no i defiantly wasn't!!!
I really question the brains of people running these bus companies, honestly, it's not hard one bus breaks down you're going to have a spare bus, so send it out as soon as you know the bus has broken down not hours after, honestly is it really that hard.
Well anyway my point here is that buses, although sounding really good for the economy and for the environment are actually really quite useless and unreliable. It frustrates me so much and it's happened to so many people yet they never sort the problem out, well I say DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT SOON!

Nails!!!

Well nails are pretty weird things aren't they, made out the same thing as hair, pretty weird to think your nails are practically hair!
They're pretty dull though, just a light pink and white tip, how boring! Some are really long, some are the perfect length and some are really short. Any length they're still as dull as dull can be, so we like to liven them up with some nail polish, reds, greens, blues, pinks, yellows, oranges any colour you can think of there will be a nail polish in that colour and in different shades of that colour. You can really wear any colour, it's the shade of the colour you need to worry about!

Fair Skin Tones?
For pale skin the best colour you could choose is red, yes I know it's a colour that everyone wears but if you want the best effect if you have pale skin it is the colour for you! You can also get away with colours that others would never pass, bright pinks and purples, dark purples and other bright colours. Each one of these colours will look stylish and elegant with your skin tone, but as well as trying these colours why not experiment with different colours, see what suits you best, see what shades suit your skin tone best and have fun with it!

Medium Skin Tones?
For medium skin tones the bright colours are defiantly the best for you, bright pinks, blues and oranges are the best to go for, metallic colours also suit your skin tone very well and you should experiment with them. If you use these colours it makes your skin tone seem much more tanned than it actually is and if you want to look more tanned then you should defiantly go for these colours.

Tan Skin Tones?
To bring out tan skin tones go for light shades of pink, purples and blues, the pastel colours are best, although you can usually pull of any colours. Some darker coloured nail polishes you should go for are the browns, pinky browns, chocolate browns and light browns are the best darker shades to go for. Aviod golds and silvers they clash with your skin tone and blend in to much with the colour of your skin.

Dark Skin Tones?
For people with dark skin tones you should go for the darker colours. Avoid browns although light chocolate browns do sometimes look good. Dark greens, darks reds and maroons are usually the best looking on people with dark skin tones. Don't go for the lighter colours as they tend to look tacky and do not suit your skin tone, these include whites, oranges and silvers.

Choosing nail polish that suits your personality and your skin tone seems quite difficult but it's only because you're making it difficult. The only way you will ever know what colours suit you is to try them out and see what suits you best, holding nail polish bottles up to your skin when choosing also helps and is a quick method.

Make Up

People constantly say "oh, she's wearing so much make up, she's slapped it on like cement!" and they make stupid remarks towards girls who yes, they may be wearing a lot of make up, but the point is, if they feel good like that then what's to stop them. At the start of the day they put their make-up on feeling good about themselves then someone out there will make a stupid remark and will make them feel down. Everyone can admit to doing this I'm sure, it's a common thing, but if you thought about it when you said it, if you thought for one second before you say that to them and what effect it may have on them then you may not say it. Ok, sure, they may look stupid, they may be orange, they may be this and that, but if they feel good about themselves then that's all that matters, you wouldn't want anyone to put you down, it's like a anti-climax to their day. They may look stupid but leave them to be happy.

HAIR!HAIR!HAIR!

HAIRHAIRHAIR

What can I say about people's hair nowadays. Everyone seems to have different coloured hair everyday, pink, purple, teal, green, red, blue...... EVERY COLOUR OF THE RAINBOW!
Everywhere you look you see dashes of colour, it's mainly pastel pinks, purples, blues then you see the odd really bright colours.
Its become something you see every day, I don't get why people do it, I don't think it suits people, it's not natural, what's the point, you all go on about natural beauty then you go and die your hair an un-natural colour. Well, who am i to complain, I like seeing the odd dash of colour around and if it suits you it suits you.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is well known for her singing but, she is known greater for her weird and wonderful fashion.
Her designers take something so simple and make so crazy and still manage to make it look good, Lady Gaga is probably the only person that could pull of this, although as we saw in her Telephone music video Beyonce pulled of a little crazy Gaga outfit.
Gaga has so many different styles, she sometimes even dresses in something that isn't crazy, which is crazy for her!!!
But lets be honest, if you were Gaga why would you not pull of this style, I certainly would. It gets her noticed so why not do it, that's what got her name out there and now she's famous for 2 different things.
I don't think i have a favourite Gaga outfit, they're all so great and if you had the body you'd wear it. Yeah people say it's crazy but she's a pop star, there are so many pop stars out there she needs to be different to get noticed otherwise she'd just be 'another pop star'

"Hipster" Fashion.

The past 6 months all I have heard is "hipsters" and what they wear and how original they are.
Who really are these "hipsters"? We're all original in our own way, yet the people calling themselves "hipsters" all look and act the same so how are they actually "hipster"
I myself don't like the term "hipster" I don't see the point in it, you're basically singling yourself out.
From what I've heard around a "normal hipster" wears a beanie, they wear so unknown clothes brand on bigcartel, they wear patterned leggings and nike air shoes. Yes, all of this is fine, there's nothing wrong with these clothes but, you all call yourselves "hipsters" and the definition of "hipster" is original, never the same as anyone else, yet you all seem to be wearing the same clothes acting the same. I'm not one to stop you all wearing this and you can do what you like I'm not worried but, at least if you call yourself a "hipster" BE ORIGINAL because isn't that what you're supposed to be doing. I couldn't care less if I have offended anyone because I'm saying what other people feel.

Jean Paul Gaultier

Gaultier has become increasingly famous since the release of the Limited Edition diet coke cans/bottles, so taking this into consideration I thought I might post about him.

Although Gaultier releasing these limited edition cans and bottles, it seems his fame hasn't increased as much as people would have thought.
Compared to a lot of fashion designers Gaultier's style is very toned down, he's not as outlandish as other designers. Gaultier is known widely for his fragrances rather than his clothing, but I feel that after these diet coke adverts he'll be known as widely for his fashion.
I myself have never seen or brought one of his garments, but from what i have watched on the tv and seen on the internet I like his style, it's simplistic yet fantastic!
I really think his style is likeable for everyone and even if you don't know your designers or you aren't interested in fashion you will love Gaultier, I hadn't really explored Gaultier until today so you're probably like, how can you tell us this about him, trust me, you don't have to look much to get his style or to like it.

Sometimes I don't understand.

There's a lot of things I don't understand, there's a lot of things other people don't understand, but this, this I just don't get.
So you start education at an early point in your life and you stay on in education for a number of years, in primary school everything seems pointless, the same in secondary school but then you start to realise that everything becomes so so important, every single action will effect something/somebody. Most people realise this, they take action they control their behaviour they do stuff that will effect their life in a good way, not the opposite, but then you get those few people who just don't seem to care whatsoever, they think that everyone else/everything else around them will get them somewhere in life. They expect to be able to become famous without hardwork or without trying. They think everyone is smaller than them and that they can do what they like when they like. (Now I own up to this one and I'm sure everyone else does too) They spend far to much time on the internet or on their mobile phones, thinking they have a social life but surely the meaning of social life is to talk face to face and meet up with people and actually know the person. They spend far to much time smoking or drinking or doing something else illegal to make themselves look "cool" when really they look stupid. They don't think that any part of education matters, they think everything was handed to everyone on a silver platter and that the same will happen to them and no matter how hard you or anyone else tries you can never get into their heads that all of this matters, that if they keep going at this rate they will never gain anything out of life and they will never get anywhere. While the so called "nerds", "geeks", "dorks" or whatever other stupid names they call people who actually care, will be working their way up the business ladder, working hard for what they have deserving what they have, these other people who didn't care about their education will be at some rubbish office job or working at some fast food shop and looking back at their education and thinking how they got here, thinking how they didn't do enough, thinking about what they could have done.
I guess what I'm trying to say here is actually it's good to be the "geek", it's good to care, you shouldn't be embarrassed about it and if you don't care maybe you should think about how this is going to effect you later on in your life.

Dream Job

My dream job would be to work for vogue, i would love to be one of their fashion bloggers or fashion editors or something along those lines, this i just what i'm interested in and what i want to do, i really hope i get the chance to although it's such a high end, professional market.
Ana

What's in fashion at the moment?

A lot of people want to keep up with the up and coming trends, so i just thought i'd tell you what's in at the moment.
Currently around i have been seeing a lot of oversized patterned woollen jumpers/cardigans, a lot of people are saying Christmas jumpers and obviously it's coming up to Christmas this fashion happens nearly every year, we see a lot of people wearing stuff like this. I myself quite like this look, i think it's casual yet most people wear it so well and everyone can pull off this look.
Another look/style that's out there at the moment is patterned clothes, i see around town a lot of people wearing those chain pattern tops and leggings, i also see a lot of people wearing aztech leggings. I love the patterned tops and jumpers but there's something about the leggings i just don't like and you have to pull it off to be able to wear it.
Lately i have been seeing a rise in the number of people wearing fur, not real fur but faux fur, i like the fur look as it makes it feel more like winter, i feel over this next month that this trend will defiantly be seen around more and i think it will be great.
Parkas are defiantly the trend of this year, where ever you look no doubt you will see at least one person wearing a parka, i love the look of them and they are great for the winter but i feel as if now too many people are wearing them and it's become a look that anyone can pull of and because of that everyone wears them.
People now are more into wearing jewellery than ever. Wearing lots of bracelets has become a statement look, big chains have also become a statement look, i'd say Topshop supply the best highstreet jewellery, yes maybe quite expensive but worth the money. You need to spend a bit to get the best, that's what i always say.
I see a building trend in make-up as well, everywhere you look you'll see a cat eye/eye liner flick. I love this look, it brings out peoples eyes, it draws attention to them.
Over the next month i predict that shiny metallic colours are going to be in fashion and glittery golds, silvers and blacks. I think the eye liner flick/cat eye make-up trend is going to last along time, so expect to be see them more.

You know what annoys me.....

You know what annoys me.... well a lot of things annoy me, i'm going to be honest, but the thing that annoys me the most is when people don't listen to what you're saying, it's just annoying and rude. I can't say myself that i don't do it sometimes so this is a bit hypocritical but i don't care.
It annoys me because you try and get a point across or say something important and that one person doesn't listen then you have to repeat yourself and then you forget your train of thought and in the end you just give up because it becomes pointless. It would be so much easier if everyone listened, we'd get things done quicker, there might be less arguments over things, people would know what's going on, but the world can't be perfect people can't be perfect, we just have to put up with these things, which is also pretty annoying in itself.
